personnel training
Wang Shiwen advocated innovation all her life. She often said to her students, "on the road of medicine, it's impossible to make greater progress just by taking the road of others. Innovation is the soul of medical career." Wang Shiwen often admonishes her students that medicine is different from other disciplines. Doctors are faced with people. It is our responsibility to entrust patients with their lives. She pointed out that it's not difficult to be a general doctor, but it's not easy to be a good doctor who is deeply trusted by patients and their families, respected by colleagues, and has both political integrity and ability. We must devote our whole body and mind to patients. Wang Shiwen is the academic leader of the first geriatric doctor training center and the only geriatric postdoctoral mobile station in China. As of June 2011, she has trained the first batch of geriatrics masters, 27 doctors and 13 postdoctors, most of whom have become technical backbone and discipline leaders of Geriatrics, and some continue to carry out cardiovascular research in the United States, Britain, Germany and other countries.
