Song Zhong (birth and death unknown), the word zhongzi, Nanyang County Zhangling county (now Zaoyang City, Hubei Province) people. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he was a great Confucian.

During the Jian'an period, he attached himself to Mu Liubiao in Jingzhou and was granted five professions. He wrote the chapters and sentences of five classics, which contributed to the development of law. Wang Su, Yin Mo, Li Zhuan, Pan Jun and other famous officials have been taught successively.

He has nine volumes of taixuan Jing Zhu, ten volumes of Zhouyi Zhu and thirteen volumes of fayan Zhu.

Life of the characters

Song Zhong, a zhongzi, was born in Zhangling, Nanyang (now Zaoyang, Hubei). At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he was a great Confucian. Yin Mo, a senior official of Shu Dynasty, Wang Su, a general of Wei Dynasty, Li Zhuan, a scholar, and Pan Jun, Wu Taichang, were all subordinated to him. He was under the command of Mu Liubiao in Jingzhou. He was once instructed to compile the five classics chapters and sentences together with scholar Qi wukai (Zi Guangming), which made a certain contribution to the development of jurisprudence in the late Han, Wei and Jin Dynasties.

After Liu Biao's death, he represented Liu Cong, Liu Biao's successor, and Cai Mao, a general. On his way back, he passed by Xinye and was captured by Guan Yu. Liu Bei learned that Liu Cong had been demoted to Cao Cao. After criticizing song Zhong, Liu Bei released him.

When song Zhong entered the state of Wei, his son (song DU) was involved in the Wei satire conspiracy case and was implicated and killed.
