Fang Mei

Fang Mei was born in November 1932 in HUTANG village, Yiyang County, Jiangxi Province. He studied in Jiangxi martyrs' children's school in September 1949, worked in 1954 and retired from Jiangxi provincial shipping administration in 1986. Fang Mei is the only daughter of martyr Fang Zhimin. Her works include Fang Zhimin's life, complete biography of Fang Zhimin and Fang Zhimin and his relatives.

He is now the director and honorary president of Jiangxi Fang Zhimin research society.

Fang Zhimin wrote a couplet, "three loves in the heart, wonderful books, fine horses and beautiful landscapes; four things in the garden, green pines, green bamboos and clean plum Orchids". He compared his motherland with his mother and loved the "beautiful landscapes" of the motherland. He named his five children "pine, cypress, bamboo, plum and orchid". Fang Mei is his only daughter and the only living child of Fang Zhimin. Born in severe winter, she is plum like, open and indomitable.
