Qimantage Township
Qimantage township is a township under the jurisdiction of Ruoqiang County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, covering an area of 65600 square kilometers. It is the largest township level division in China. It is located in the south of the county, the north end of Qiangtang plateau, and the junction of Xinjiang, Qinghai and Tibet. It is sandwiched between the Qimantage Mountains in the north and the Kunlun Mountains in the south.

Qimantag Xiang is a township under the jurisdiction of Ruoqiang County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. Qimantage is a Uyghur language, which means huacaoshan. It is named because it is located at the south foot of Qimantage mountain. In 1909, qumang township was set up in Ruoqiang County, which governed the animal husbandry of yixiekpatti and tiemulike areas. In 1979, it gradually expanded to three animal husbandry teams (cooperatives). In May 1981, yixiekpatti and kaladon animal husbandry teams were established, and then yixiekpatti animal husbandry cooperative was established. In November 1983, Qimantage township was established, which was under the jurisdiction of Qiman district. In March 2005, Qiman district was abolished and changed into county Township.

Qimantage township is in the middle of Altun mountain. From Mangya town to Qimantage Township, it is a 300 km natural dirt road, bumpy and uneven. The nature reserve is surrounded by mountains, with more than 50 peaks at an altitude of more than 6000 meters. Modern glaciers with a total area of 880 square kilometers develop on the towering mountains. Qimantage township is the central station of yixiekpatti in Altun Mountain National Nature Reserve. As a matter of fact, Qimantage township is a residential area close to mountains and lakes in the Altyn Tagh Mountain Nature Reserve, which is only a part of the river. To see the rivers, lakes and springs with extreme significance, we have to walk more than 100 kilometers from the North Bank of ayakkumu lake along the pluvial plain in front of Qimantage mountain, sometimes through the Gobi, sometimes through the sand, sometimes through the muddy swamp.
