Early experience

Ji Xiaojun was born in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province and studied in Yiwu middle school. In 1990, he majored in English at Beijing Language and Culture University. Since then, he has left his hometown and started his career in Beijing. During his schooling, he was keen on broadcasting, recitation and dubbing. In his sophomore year, he became an amateur host of Beijing Economic radio through an interview.

In 1997, at a British educational exchange activity, Ji Xiaojun took the presidents of 10 British universities to Xi'an, Guangzhou, Shanghai and other places for investigation, and was favored by the president of Nottingham University. In 1998, Ji Xiaojun went to work at Nottingham University. He didn't take TOEFL or GRE, and he got a scholarship of 500 pounds a month. Acting experience

In 2000, Ji Xiaojun quit his job in the Ministry of education and moved to CCTV to become the host of the English Channel. Ji Xiaojun's wife is from Shanghai. She met Ji Xiaojun during her internship on CCTV English Channel. After that, they fell in love and got married.
