Chen Pixian
Chen Pi Xian (March 20, 1916 - August 23, 1995), Han nationality. Born on March 20, 1916 in guanliankeng, Nanyang District, Changting County, Fujian Province (now Guanyu village, Nanyang Town, Shanghang County, Fujian Province), he was a peasant family. He used to be Chen Jiayu and changed his name to API. Chen Pixian is an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, a long tested and loyal communist fighter, a proletarian revolutionist, Secretary of the Secretariat of the 12th CPC Central Committee, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the 6th National People's Congress, and former standing member of the Advisory Committee of the CPC Central Committee. He died in Beijing at 4:35 a.m. on August 23, 1995 due to invalid medical treatment He was 80 years old.
Life of the characters
In March 1916, Comrade Chen Pixian was born into a peasant family in guanliankeng, Nanyang District, Changting County, Fujian Province. As early as his youth, he was influenced by progressive thought and pursued revolutionary truth. He joined the Communist Youth League in 1929. He became a member of the Communist Party of China in 1931 and began to struggle for the cause of Chinese people's Liberation and socialist revolution and construction for more than 60 years. Since 1929, Comrade Chen Pixian has been engaged in the founding of the Communist Youth League in Fujian Province. He has successively served as secretary of the children's Bureau of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, Secretary of the children's Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Secretary of the Central County Committee of the Communist Youth League in Fujian and Jiangxi provinces, and member of the Soviet branch of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. At the beginning of 1935, Comrade Chen Pixian was appointed secretary of Gannan provincial Party committee of the Communist Youth League. After the main Red Army set out for the Long March, he followed Xiang Ying, Chen Yi and other comrades, together with the leading organs of the Central Soviet Area, to highlight the enemy's heavy blockade and encirclement, and entered the Jiangxi Guangdong border guerrilla area. War of Liberation
During the war of liberation, Comrade Chen Pixian successively served as political commissar of the seventh column of the central China Field Army, member of the central China Branch Bureau, representative of the central China Branch Bureau in Central Jiangsu, political commissar of the central China South line logistics command of the New Fourth Army, Secretary of the central China Working Committee, political commissar of the central China command, Northern Jiangsu corps and Northern Jiangsu military region of the New Fourth Army. In June 1946, Chiang Kai Shek openly tore up the "double ten agreement" and launched a large-scale attack on our liberated areas. Comrade Chen Pixian took part in the "seven wars and seven victories" between the Soviet Union and China under the direct command of Comrade Su Yu and shouldered the heavy task of supporting the front. In September 1946, the Party Central Committee instructed the central China Field Army to develop northward and withdraw from central China and Huaiyin. The central China branch decided that Comrade Chen Pixian would stay behind to lead the struggle behind the enemy in Central China. Under the unfavourable situation that the enemy is strong and we are weak, he not only preserved the backbone strength of our party, but also was good at catching fighters, taking the initiative to attack, destroying the enemy's living forces, and effectively cooperated with the front battlefield operations. In the summer of 1947, great changes took place in the national situation, and our army shifted from strategic defense to strategic attack. At that time, the internal forces in Central China had developed into three columns, which echoed the Shandong corps and launched a powerful offensive, forming two fists to attack each other, effectively supporting our army's external operations. Later, Comrade Chen Pixian joined the Huai Hai Campaign which shocked China and foreign countries. During the Huaihai Campaign, 1.07 million migrant workers were mobilized in Central China, including 225000 migrant workers, 15000 stretchers, 80000 cars, and 110 million jin of grain. Comrade Chen Pi Xian led the army and people in Central China, strongly supported the Huaihai Campaign, made outstanding contributions, and made great contributions to the victory of the war of liberation. In April 1949, Comrade Chen Pixian crossed the Yangtze River and went south with the army. He served as secretary of the Party committee of the southern Jiangsu military region, political commissar of the southern Jiangsu military region, and member of the East China military and political Commission. Transfer to Shanghai

Cultural Revolution
During the "Cultural Revolution", Shanghai was the base for the gang of four to disrupt the whole country and seize power. Comrade Chen Pixian was brutally persecuted and imprisoned for ten years, and his relatives were also implicated. Comrade Chen Pi Xian did not compromise on Lin Biao's and gang of four's false accusations and coercion. He insisted on principle and truth, and was loyal to the party. Get back to work
After Comrade Chen Pixian resumed his work in 1977, he became Secretary of Yunnan provincial Party committee and deputy director of Yunnan Provincial Revolutionary Committee in February. In July of the same year, he was transferred to Hubei as the Second Secretary of Hubei provincial Party committee and the first deputy director of Hubei Provincial Revolutionary Committee. From August 1978 to October 1982, he was the first Secretary of Hubei provincial Party committee.
