Ren Jianxin

Ren Jianxin

Ren Jianxin, born in August 1925 in Fencheng (now Xiangfen), Shanxi Province, joined the Communist Party of China and took part in work in June 1948. He graduated from the Department of chemical engineering, School of technology, Peking University and is a lawyer.

He was vice chairman of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference and member of the Party group of the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference.

He studied in the Department of chemical engineering, School of technology, Peking University from 1946 to 1948.

From 1948 to 1949, he was Secretary of the Secretariat of the North China People's government.

From 1949 to 1954, he served as secretary of the general office of the central political and Law Commission and Secretary of the central legal system Commission.

He was Secretary of the Legislative Affairs Bureau of the State Council from 1954 to 1959.

From 1959 to 1966, he served as section chief and director of China Council for the promotion of international trade.

From 1992 to 1997, he served as secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, President of the Supreme People's court, Secretary of the Party group, and Secretary of the political and Law Commission of the CPC Central Committee.

In 1997, he served as president of the Supreme People's court, Secretary of the party leading group, and Secretary of the political and Law Commission of the CPC Central Committee.

In May 1994, he was elected president of China Judges Association.

He was vice chairman of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee from March 1998 to March 2003.

After April 1998, he served as honorary director of the 14th China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and China Maritime Arbitration Commission.

He once served as the president of China branch of the International Association for the protection of industrial property rights, vice president of China law society, vice president and honorary president of China Society of international law, vice president of China Society of economic law, executive member of the center for safeguarding world peace through law and chairman of Asia, chairman of China Maritime Arbitration Commission and director of the Central Committee for comprehensive management of social security. He is a member of the 13th and 14th CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Secretariat of the 14th CPC Central Committee, deputy to the 15th CPC National Congress, and deputy to the 7th to 9th National People's Congress (Shanxi).

Honors

In November 1994, he was awarded a gold medal by the World Intellectual Property Organization in recognition of his contribution to the protection of intellectual property rights in China. In 1997, he won the achievement award of the International Association for the protection of industrial property rights.
