Pan Jin

Pan Jin, male, born in November 1962, Ph.D., was vice president of School of electronic engineering, University of Electronic Science and technology of China. Doctor, Professor of School of electronic engineering, doctoral supervisor. Visiting scholar of Washington University and City University of Hong Kong; member of antenna branch of electronic society; editorial board member of antenna journal; academic and technical leader of Sichuan Province, famous teacher of Sichuan Province. In scientific research work, he is good at combining theory and technology research with social application needs and engineering application practice. In the fields of antenna theory and technology, field and wave in non-uniform medium, transient electromagnetic theory and system technology, microwave remote sensing, etc., our theoretical and technical achievements have successively won one national science and Technology Progress Award and six provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards.

From September 1979 to July 1983, he studied for bachelor's degree in radio Department of Sichuan University; from September 1983 to April 1986, he studied for master's degree in Chengdu Institute of telecommunication engineering; from June 1986 to December 1989, he studied for doctor's degree in University of Electronic Science and technology.

He graduated from the University of Electronic Science and technology in December 1989 and has been working in the university until now. He was a lecturer, associate professor and Professor respectively in 1990, 1995 and 1998, and was awarded the doctoral supervisor in 2001. In 2003, he was appointed as the chief teacher of electromagnetic field and wave course in UESTC. He successively served as deputy director of microwave engineering department, branch secretary, and vice president of College of electronic engineering. From May 2000 to November 2001, he worked as a visiting scholar in the Department of electronic engineering, City University of Hong Kong.

He won the second prize of national science and Technology Progress Award in 2002, the third prize of Huo Yingdong national outstanding young teacher research award in 2000, the first prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award in 1998, the third prize of Ministry of electronic industry science and Technology Progress Award in 1995 and the third prize of Sichuan science and Technology Progress Award in 1992. as the first author, he has published more than 40 papers in scientific bulletin, Acta electronica Sinica, Acta electronica Sinica, Acta communication, Acta infra-red and millimeter wave, Acta geophysica Sinica, ieee-s and other important academic journals. In 2000, he was selected into the young backbone teacher program of the Ministry of education, and in 2003, he was selected into the excellent young teacher program of the Ministry of education. The main research interests are: field and wave in inhomogeneous media, time domain broadband electromagnetic detection system, electromagnetic radiation and scattering, computational electromagnetics, microwave communication and practical technology.
