He Dong
Robert Hong Bosman (December 22, 1862 - April 26, 1956) is a famous comprador, entrepreneur and philanthropist in Hong Kong. Born in Hong Kong, his ancestral home is Bao'an, Guangdong Province. He is the richest man in Hong Kong since its opening. He Dong's father is Charles Henri Maurice Bosman, a Dutch Jew, and his mother is Shi Di, a native of Bao'an, Guangdong, so he is Eurasian. Due to his shrewd mind, he soon became a super rich man in Hong Kong. The he Qidong family he founded was the first family in Hong Kong during the period of British Hong Kong.
Father he Shiwen
His father, Charles Henry Maurice Bosman, whose middle name is Henry, is the English spelling of his name. The Dutch spelling of the original Dutch name is
Henri
)Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on August 29, 1839, and died in bramham gardens, London, England on November 10, 1892, he Shiwen was the biological father of He Dong, the richest man in Hong Kong after the opening of the port. He Shiwen was originally a Dutch Jew. He Shiwen's name sounds very Chinese, but it is actually a Cantonese transliteration of his surname Bosman. He Dong's foreign name is Robert Hotung Bosman. The foreign name of He Dong still retains the surname Bosman (see the report of He Dong in the New York Times in 2008), but the Chinese surname has changed to he. After the opening of Hong Kong in 1842, a group of European businessmen and adventurers looking for business opportunities came to Hong Kong. He Shi Wen was one of them. He Shi Wen arrived in Hong Kong in 1859 and left Hong Kong in 1873. It is said that he Shi Wen once lived in Hong Kong Jardine Matheson works for Jardine Matheson, but according to historical records, he owns his own company Bosman & Co. according to the data, when the Hong Kong Hotel opened in 1868, he owned part of the equity of the Hong Kong Hotel. At the same time, he is also a director of Whampoa shipyard. He Shiwen's company has a good business relationship with Jardine Matheson in the marine insurance business. In 1869, he was appointed consul of the Netherlands. During this period, he felt that business in Hong Kong was difficult. He sold his assets in Hong Kong and left Hong Kong to develop in Britain. He Shiwen opened an "Eastern agency" in London in 1873. In 1885, he closed his company, which had been running for 12 years, from "Eastern agency" to James Whittall
J.Wittall&Co.,
He worked until his death in 1892. He Shiwen became a British citizen in 1888, which is why some people and some Chinese media mistakenly believe that the "Hedong family" has British blood. In fact, having British nationality does not mean having British blood. It is more correct for the "Hedong family" to have Dutch blood.
Clarify the facts
(1) Walter Bosman is the foreign name of he Qijia, the son of he Shiwen, not his own.
(2) Walter Bosman is not the name of Shi Di's marriage to another European, but the foreign name of he Qijia, the son of Shi Di and he Shiwen. He Shiwen is the only European who is friendly to Shi Di. Shi Di has no relationship with any foreigners except he Shiwen.

Lotus feel abundant, God Jun Lang, Qi Qi Yu Li, elegant Mu chant. After he returned home, he was careful to use apple and lead sparingly, so he was known by virtue in his life, but not by talent. His book travels to famous mountains is famous for its elegant writing style. Lianjue studies Buddhism and perseveres. There is a full account of the auspiciousness of dying. Donglian Jue yuan, as an old rule, begins with Amitabha on November 17 and chants for seven days. Ding Chou, a year old, asked Quan Yuan Jinglv to hold a Buddhist Exhibition on November 27. When the seven Buddhas were satisfied, Lian Jue died of a slight illness, just half an hour after the ceremony. It's easy to calculate. Dying, a red light, from the foot, spin into white, cage body, West and out. More than a hundred people were watching. Lian Jue was born in Yihai and died in Dingchou in 1937. He lived for three years at the age of 60. He has three sons and seven daughters, and many of them have graduated from English schools.
She is a devout Buddhist. In the winter of 1922, Lin Jue contacted Hong Kong Buddhist believers and invited old monk ruoshun, the abbot of Qixiashan temple in Nanjing, to preside over the seventh Buddha festival in Hong Kong. If old monk Shun and a group of monks such as master aiting arrived in Hong Kong, Lian Jue welcomed them to his home to support them, so that they became friends. In 1929, sir He Dong and Lin Jue visited Qixiashan temple in Nanjing. Seeing that the pagoda of the Sui Dynasty was shining, he thought it inconceivable, so he donated 20000 yuan to rebuild the temple. Since then, he has been devout in the belief of Buddhism, and since then, he has made every effort to improve the cause of the world.
In 1932, master AI Ting, the abbot of Zhulin temple in Zhenjiang, retired. He Zhang lianjue, a resident of Zhulin temple in Zhenjiang, invited master AI ting to Hong Kong. When master AI Ting arrived in Hong Kong, with the support of he Zhanglian Jue, he set up a "baojue Buddhist Research Society" in Beishan to recruit young women to teach Buddhism. Then, in the autumn of the next year, he bought a piece of land in Shan Kwong Road, which was designed and built by master AI ting to build the earliest and largest "East Lotus Garden" in Hong Kong. At that time, donglianjue garden cost 150000 yuan to build, which was lofty and magnificent - of course, the huge construction cost. It was donated by Sir Hedong.
Ten years later, when master AI Ting arrived in Hong Kong, he saw the people who had helped him build the FA yuan and actively carried out the construction of the FA yuan. Master AI Ting continued in the above paragraph: on the one hand, we should make preparations for the construction of a formal garden. We should start with the purchase address first. Limited by the economy, in this land and money Hong Kong situation, although we have seen many places, the price of common use is too high, but the price of cheap use is not suitable. Because we have to run a free school, we can't leave the city too far. It's extremely difficult! It took a long time to find the address of Shan Guang Dao. How to build houses, how to decorate Buddha statues, and how to decorate the interior, he trusted me, all of which cost me a lot of effort and energy.
Lin Jue has always been a good Samaritan and did not value money. Here is an example. For a while
