Liu Qi knew that he would be framed by Cai Mao, so he went to Zhuge Liang for help (Zhuge Liang is Liu Bei's subordinate). Zhuge Liang was afraid that he would be involved in the fight between the emperor and the common people, so he didn't want to say much. Liu Qi knew Zhuge Liang's intention, so he cheated him into the study on the second floor, ordered someone to take the ladder (this is the origin of taking the ladder from the room), and said: "now you and I can't go down, and only I can hear you talking." So Zhuge Liang had no choice but to tell him that Shen Sheng of Jin state was executed at home in the spring and Autumn period, and Chong ER was exiled abroad to save his life. in 208, the 13th year of Jian'an, Huang Zu, the governor of Jiangxia, died in battle. Now that you are absent without permission, your father will be angry to see you. It's not filial piety to hurt the feelings of his relatives and increase his illness. " They shut Liu Qi out of the door and did not allow him to meet Liu Biao. Liu Qi had to leave with tears in her eyes. After Liu Biao's death, Cai Mao, Zhang Yun and others supported Liu Cong to succeed Jingzhou animal husbandry. Just at this time, Cao Cao's army had gone south to Jingzhou, and Liu Qi avoided the south of the Yangtze River.
