Zhang Song

Zhang Song (?)? In fact, it is the character of Peng Fu, another famous official in Shu. He was born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. In the 13th year of Jian'an (208), Liu Zhang, a herdsman of Yizhou, was sent to Cao Cao's place to engage in driving, but he was not recorded by him. After returning to Shu, he advised Liu Zhang to break off the relationship with Cao Cao, and said that Zhang had a good relationship with Liu Bei; later, he said that Zhang welcomed Liu Bei to attack Zhang Lu. In 212, he secretly helped Liu Bei and was denounced by his brother Zhang su. Liu Zhang was angry and killed him.

Life of the characters

Zhang song, ziqiao, Liu Zhang's subordinate, Yizhou Biejia, is short-lived, dissolute and unruly, but he is very talented. He thinks Liu Zhang is weak and can't give full play to his talent under his command, so he often sighs.

In 208, after Liu Cong surrendered to Cao Cao, Liu Zhang sent Zhang song to make friends with Cao Cao. Zhang song is short and dissolute, but he knows the essence. At that time, Cao Cao had already beaten away Liu Bei and stopped recording Zhang song. Yang Xiu advised Cao Cao to replace Zhang song, but Cao Cao didn't accept it. Zhang Song hated Cao Cao.

After returning to Yizhou, Zhang Song advised Liu Zhang to make friends with Liu Bei instead.

Later, Zhang Song and his good friend Fazheng conspired to sell Liu Zhang, offered Yizhou to Liu Bei, and persuaded Liu Zhang to welcome Liu Bei into Sichuan. Later, Liu Bei pretended to leave Yizhou. Zhang Song wrote a letter to dissuade him. His elder brother Zhang Su found him and informed him that he was killed.

When Liu Bei heard that Zhang song had been killed, he sighed, "it was Zhang Su who killed my inner man!"

Just when Cao Cao took Jingzhou and Liu Bei fled, Liu Zhang, the Yizhou herdsman who was defending Shu, was in a panic. Based on the "watermelon effect" of watermelon nestling in the big side, he sent "BIE Jia" (official name) Zhang song as his special envoy to make friends with Cao Cao.

Zhang song is a smart and knowledgeable man. Unfortunately, he is not handsome, short and uninhibited. He looks very humble. Complacent, Zhang song this appearance he which sees in the eye, extremely indifferent to his attitude.

Zhang Song led the wolf into the house, fearing that it would be inconvenient for the wolf to swallow. He also drew a map and reported to Liu Bei the terrain and features of Yizhou, the dangerous mountains and rivers, as well as the military secrets such as the armory and the deployment of troops. Liu Bei accepted Zhang song because he was ugly. Later, he turned against Hakka and annexed Yizhou, and gained equal capital with Cao Cao and Sun Quan. No wonder Xi chiseled his teeth in Pei's annotation of the annals of the Three Kingdoms: "in the past, Qi Huan was proud of his achievements and betrayed the nine kingdoms, while Cao Cao was proud of himself and defeated three parts of the world."

Liu Zhe of the Three Kingdoms wrote a chronicle of people. He talked about the difficulty of identifying talents, especially the "two special talents" - you Miao and you Xu. Among them, the most wonderful refers to the outstanding talents, who are not necessarily very eye-catching, "or lack of appearance for lack", "or direct exposure for vanity" - these people may not be outstanding in appearance, and they may not look good; they may be straightforward and lack of elegant demeanor, but if they are regarded as useless soldiers, it is a big mistake. History books say that Zhang song is "short and licentious", which is the "appearance less" and "straight exposed" in the "people's annals", so Cao Cao made a mistake.

Yang Xiu didn't believe that Cao Cao was the emperor of Wen Chao, which shows Zhang Song's strong memory. He recommended Zhang song to Cao Cao, but Zhang song was too sorry, "the forehead is sharp, the nose is thin and the teeth are exposed." the forehead is like a hoe, the head is sharp, the nose is collapsed, and the teeth are exposed. Cao Cao didn't believe that Zhang song would have the ability to never forget. He thought that the ancients and his heroes had the same ideas, so his new book would be the same as that of the Warring States period.

Thus it can be seen that Zhang song is indeed a talented person like Yang Xiu, but his secret affairs are not good, and he finally makes a difference.

Historical evaluation

Sima Guang: don't drive Zhang Song and Zhengshan in Yizhou. He is conceited of his talents. He often sighs when he thinks about Zhang's shortcomings and achievements.

Luo Guanzhong: you can see all the rare things in the world. Who knows that letters are the source of heaven. Before seeing Xuande prospering Wang Ye, he first went to Chengdu to dye his clothes with blood.

Mao Zonggang: his view is based on Zhang Su and Zhang song, and his emotion is based on his brothers. On the one hand, the seller pursues honor without suing his brother; on the other hand, he is afraid of harm to himself without considering his brother.
