Zhou Kaicheng
Zhou Kaicheng, born in Qianjiang, Hubei Province in 1905, graduated from the sixth phase of Huangpu Military Academy (Wuhan) and the first phase of higher education class of Huangpu Military Academy.
In the later period of the Anti Japanese War, he served as the deputy division commander of the honorary 1st division. Since October 1946, he served as the brigade commander of the independent brigade of the 8th Army. Later, the brigade was transformed into the 4th Brigade of Shandong police and served as the brigade commander. In December 1947, the brigade was changed to the 42nd brigade and remained as brigade commander. From February 1948 to September 1948, the eighth division was reorganized as the deputy division commander of the major general. In September 1948, he was promoted to the deputy division commander of the Eighth Army. In November of the same year, he acted as the deputy division commander. He was captured in the battle of Huaihai on January 5, 1949 and later pardoned.
