Zhang Jun

Zhang Jun (307-346) was born in Wushi County, Anding county (now Pingliang City, Gansu Province). He was the grandson of Zhang Gui, the king of Liangwu, the son of Zhang Shi, the king of Liangzhao, and the nephew of Zhang Mao, the king of Liangcheng. He was the fourth monarch of the former Liang Dynasty (324-346).

Zhang Jun was a young, wonderful and unruly man. In 316, he was the Marquis of the city. In the 12th year of Jianxing (324), after his Uncle Zhang Mao died, he formally succeeded to the throne and became the Duke of Xiping County by worshipping Liangzhou Mu and Huqiang Xiaowei.
