Guan Hua (1922-2002), formerly known as Bao Huapu. Hebei Fengrun people. He is a member of the Communist Party of China.

After the liberation of China, he worked in the Central Conservatory of music and the central Orchestra in lyrics creation; in 1963, he was transferred to Beijing Writers Association as a resident writer. Yulai is a miniature of the children in Eastern Hebei during the Anti Japanese War, including the novelist Guan Hua himself. Guan Hua has been on guard with the children in the village since childhood, sending chicken feather letters to the Eighth Route Army, looking out in the tree and catching the enemy's situation. In 1940, he left home and went to the war of resistance against Japan. After he joined the army, the scenes of his childhood often appeared. Therefore, he created the novel "little hero Yulai" with Yulai as the protagonist, which was published in Jinchaji daily.
Creative process
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, a person in charge of editing Chinese textbooks from the Ministry of education went to Guan Hua and told him that his novel was renamed "little hero rain" and was selected into Chinese textbooks. Since then, the little hero Yulai has become a hero in the minds of children all over the country for a whole era.
On January 9, 1922, Guan Hua was born into a peasant family in nuguozhuang, Fengrun district. As a child, he studied in the primary school of the village. In 1940, he took part in revolutionary work and worked as a propaganda officer in the Anti Japanese army in Eastern Hebei. He studied in the Chinese Department of North China United University and began to publish his works in 1942. He joined the Chinese Writers Association in 1949.
After graduating in 1942, he worked as a reporter with the army in the national salvation newspaper, the Party Committee organ of Jidong military region, and worked in the Jianbing drama club of the Political Department of Jidong military region. Later, he served as the vice captain and captain of the literary and art team of Jianbing drama club of the Political Department of the military region, the deputy head of the literary and art troupe of jichare Liao military region, the researcher of Lu Xun Art College in Northeast China, the creator of the central Orchestra, and the resident writer of Beijing Writers Association.
He joined the Communist Party of China in 1946, and then wrote satirical dramas "the confluence of Chiang Kai Shek, the enemy and the puppets" and "the current record of the national army" with others, which were very popular with the masses. The drama "return from victory" has been praised by the army and made great contributions. When resisting US aggression and Aiding North Korea, he visited the front line of North Korea. After returning home, he cooperated with others to write the "Wuhushan story chorus", which won the third prize in the world music competition held in Bucharest. During the period, he also completed the excellent novella "little hero rain".
In 1957, he responded to the central writer's going to the countryside to settle down, using his short and medium stories "three torches", "Ge Mei" and "Xin jundi" to reflect the real rural life and the Anti Japanese War, and interviewed many characters, including the Communist Party and the former national generals, which accumulated rich materials for his later creation.
In 1963, Guan Hua transferred to Beijing Writers Association. In 1970, he began to write the novel "general River". After more than 20 years, he finally completed this great literary work with a broad vision and a large scale. Taking the Second World War as the background, Jiangjunhe vividly depicts the historical picture of the unity of the army and the people in the Jiangjunhe area of North China against Japan. With a series of tense, tortuous and thrilling plots, the novel shows the fighting between good and evil, the struggle between civilization and barbarism, the deep thinking about life, the ardent pursuit of love, the struggle against fate, and the rich flavor of life in North China. In addition, he also published the collection of Guan Hua's short stories, selected poems of Guan Hua's children, selected essays of Guan Hua, and the collection of poems and paintings, the cry and love of life. The giant ink bamboo "chenxiong" and "Tianfeng Haiyu" are collected by museums in Sweden, Denmark and other countries respectively.

Status quo of characters
Guan Hua is fond of painting, especially famous for his ink bamboo painting. He has published a collection of ink bamboo paintings Cangqing.
