Character evaluation
Ning Haiqiang is known as "China's first hawkish director" (Phoenix Entertainment review). Because of the blood of soldiers flowing in his bones, most of the films and TV dramas made by Ning Haiqiang are also aimed at military life (Sichuan Radio and TV news review). He has always integrated the feelings of soldiers into his works, paying special attention to the shaping of the image of "soldiers" and the exploration of the spiritual beauty of soldiers. In a series of military film and television creation, he integrated his own thinking with a unique perspective, paying attention to publicizing the tradition and infusing the flavor of the times. From the two aspects of content and form of expression, it always keeps a steady progress in exploration (review of Journal of PLA Academy of Art).
