Character evaluation
When Chen Qiang plays a comedy role, he attaches great importance to finding comedy factors from the conflicts of life, character and play, and opposes artificially creating gimmicks and excessive performances. He is good at playing villains. Instead of the "facial makeup" technique, he starts from digging deep into the hearts of the characters and reveals the essence by various means to make the characters real and natural. In several comedy films with his son Chen Peisi, he has a flexible body shape, and can grasp the sense of humor and rhythm of different characters (comprehensive review of Sina entertainment and Tencent Entertainment).
In the early stage, Chen Qiang was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people as a villain, and the characters such as Nan batian and Huang Shiren made countless audiences hate him; in the later stage, he took the comedy route, which also made the audience love him. In the final analysis, it comes from his accurate grasp of the characters in different movies, and this ability comes from his careful observation of the real society and valuable professionalism. In the history of Chinese film, there have been many villains, but Chen Qiang's villains are particularly outstanding. If you taste them carefully, it's because he doesn't stick to the stereotype of facial makeup and the complex psychology of characters. Under his careful handling, the bad guys have different bad ways. The bad guys can play well, and the comedians are no inferior. From villain to comedian, Chen Qiang comes and goes freely in the country where he performs.
