Chen Hou married twice, but both ended in divorce. His second wife is the famous actor Lottie. They have a daughter, Chen Mingming. On the morning of December 27, 1968, Lottie went to "Golden Eagle company" to meet with her third brother Lei Zhen, and made an appointment for dinner. At about 17 o'clock, when the servant called Lettie, who was taking a nap, to get up, she found that she was unconscious. When she was sent to the hospital, she was only 31 years old. On December 30, he was buried in a Catholic Cemetery in Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong. In 2004, Hong Kong Film tycoon Zou wenhuai, Hong Kong Senior Director Wang Tianlin and Lettie's elder brother Lei Zhen made it clear that Lettie did not commit suicide, but died of heart shock caused by side effects of taking sleeping pills to help sleep. After Lottie's death, Chen Hou moved to the United States. In 1970, he died of cancer. He was only 39 years old. Chen Mingming is taken care of by Chen Hou's younger brother.
