Li Yadong
Doctor of engineering, Professor, doctoral supervisor. He is now the director of the Department of bridge engineering, School of civil engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University. He also serves as executive director of bridge and Structural Engineering Society of China Civil Engineering Society, member of bridge professional committee of Engineering Branch of China Railway Society, vice chairman of bridge steel structure association of China Steel Structure Association, and director of structural stability and fatigue branch of China Steel Structure Association. He is the editorial board member of bridge construction, world bridge, bridge, bridge and tunnel.
Engaged in teaching and research of bridge engineering for 30 years, presided over and participated in the compilation of teaching materials such as introduction to bridge engineering, professional English of civil engineering, railway engineering, railway bridge construction, etc. He has undertaken more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial level projects, such as key technology research of marine long and large bridge construction, theoretical research of engineering structure reliability, revision of bridge design code, evaluation method of bridge bearing capacity, steel bridge fatigue and welding residual stress, etc., and participated in East Bridge of great bell Strait, fatigue resistance of welded steel beam, earthquake damage analysis of Wenchuan Earthquake Engineering, etc《 He is the chief editor of Bridge Branch of China Railway Encyclopedia (Engineering and public works volume). He has presided over or participated in the scheme design, technical consultation, construction monitoring and other work of more than 40 large bridges such as Nanjing No.2 Yangtze River Bridge. He has published more than 70 research papers. From 1977 to 1981, he majored in industry and civil architecture of Wuhan University of technology, and obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering;
From 1981 to 1984, he studied in bridge, tunnel and structural engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University with a master's degree in engineering;

Teaching and research
He has undertaken more than 10 projects, including theoretical research on structural reliability, revision of bridge design code, evaluation method of bridge bearing capacity, fatigue life evaluation of steel bridge, construction control technology of long-span beam bridge, etc., and published about 50 research papers and reports. He has compiled and published railway works (editor of bridge engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University Press, 1998), introduction to bridge engineering (editor in chief, Southwest Jiaotong University Press, 2000, 2006, won the second prize of best-selling textbook of University Press), professional English for Civil Engineering (editor in chief, Southwest Jiaotong University press, 2000), steel bridge (Chapter 6 and 7, to be published) )And so on. Served as the editorial board member of China Railway Encyclopedia (Engineering and public works volume) (China Railway Publishing House, 2005).
The scientific research projects include: the Western Transportation Science and technology project of the Ministry of Communications - "Research on steel bridge construction and installation technology and process method", the "Research on long-term deflection design and control of long-span prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge" of Sichuan Provincial Department of communications, and the "revision of highway steel bridge design code" of the Ministry of communications. In terms of engineering practice, in 1995, he was the site supervisor of the continuous rigid frame girder bridge on the plate No.2 curve of Nanning Kunming railway; in 1996, he was in charge of the construction monitoring of Fuling Yangtze River Bridge; in 1997, he participated in the technical design of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge No.2; in 2000, he was the director of the cable replacement project of Sichuan Qianwei Minjiang River Bridge and the construction monitoring director of Lushuihe bridge on Beijing Zhuhai expressway; in 2001, he was in charge of the construction monitoring of the bridge He was responsible for the design review of Zhengzhou Airport Road viaduct; in March 2002, he served as the construction director and site supervision director of Sichuan Yibin Jinsha River Zhongba bridge, and the construction supervision director of Sichuan Yibin Rongzhou bridge; in 2004, he was responsible for the construction supervision of Yibin Jiang'an Yangtze River Highway Bridge, construction supervision of Sichuan Yibin maming River Bridge maintenance and reinforcement project, Chongqing Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge In 2005, he undertook the construction monitoring of Yanghe bridge in Liuzhou and the maintenance and reinforcement project of Qiuxi River Bridge in Chengdu; in 2006, he undertook the construction monitoring of Sanmenjiang Bridge in Liuzhou.
