Character evaluation
Chen Jingyin is an excellent film practitioner. She has successfully broken through the male dominated film directing circle. The first feature film "big stupid elephant" written and directed by him is like a dish full of "color, fragrance and flavor". With excellent quality and proper plot rhythm, it is the most worthy local film in Singapore in 2017. The short film Wu Song Sha Sao directed by Chen Jingyin is a work full of local culture. Chen Jingyin explores, reflects and interprets his own cultural roots from different perspectives, and also seeks for a sense of belonging to Singapore.
