Yang Jia
Yang Jia, born in Guangzhou, belongs to the Han nationality. In 1936, he studied in Engineering College of Xiangqin University, Guangdong Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Democratic League. He once participated in the Anti Japanese struggle led by the underground Party of the Communist Party of China. In 1940, he began to publish plays, essays, novels and reviews in Singapore newspapers under the pseudonyms of Yang Jia, Li Xuan and Bi Ru.

Main works
In 1950, he transferred to the film department of the Provincial Department of culture and education. He edited the film and drama weekly in Lianhe daily, wrote articles on films and dramas, and published many comments in Nanfang Daily. In 1951, he successively published "twilight in the United States" (one act drama), "bloody Korea" (multi act drama), etc. He took part in land reform in 1952. In 1953, he worked in the Provincial Bureau of culture and published the drama "on the green battlefield" and many essays, reviews and reportages. In 1953, he participated in the preparation for the establishment of the Guangdong writers' Association. Since 1958, several Qiong operas have been published, including Red Detachment of women (cooperation), Hai Rui Hui Chao (cooperation), Da Ya Ji (cooperation), and Lu Ying Quan Sheng. At the end of 1959, he was transferred to the Chinese Department of Jinan University, where he served as associate professor, professor and master's supervisor. In 1984, Yang Jia's selected dramas was published. He is a member of China Writers Association and China Drama Association. He was the executive director of the literary theory society of Chinese universities, member of the Central Education Committee of the Democratic League of China, and vice president of the Guangdong Chinese literary society. He once served as a member of Guangdong CPPCC, a consultant of Guangdong Federation of overseas Chinese, a member of Guangdong Federation of literary and art circles, and a member of Guangdong Federation of social sciences.
