Early experience
After Niu Chengze was a famous general, he grew up in the general's residence. His grandmother and mother taught Chinese in the language center of the University.

Personal life
Niu Chengze's father followed the Kuomintang to Taiwan at the age of 19. When Niu Chengze was 12 years old, his father suffered from rare motor neuron atrophy. Her mother, Zhang QingQin, is the daughter of a general. She used to be a university teacher. She is also a screenwriter of Chinese opera and has won the National Prize for literature and art. Character controversy
