Xia Yongkang

Wing shya, born in Hong Kong in 1964, graduated from the University of art and design of Emily Carr, Canada.

In 2000, he toured the mainland with Zhang Guorong and photographed for him. In 2004, he directed the TV series dictionary for men and women. In 2010, he directed the love movie love in the city. In 2012, he directed the love short film star knows my heart. In 2015, he and Chen Guohui co directed the romantic comedy "pingran Xingdong". In 2020, he will direct the love movie "stay away from me".

Character experience

From 1985 to 1987, he studied design in Li Huili Institute of technology of Caritas bayingqi professional school, and formed band band with GE Minhui. In 1987, I went to Canada to study at Emily Carr Institute and started a company in Canada with several foreign students. In 1991, he returned to Hong Kong and won the first prize in the biennial art exhibition held by the Hong Kong government. After that, he went to work in commercial Taiwan through Lin Haifeng. Later, he founded shya La workshop and provided services for fashion art magazines including ID, tank and visionaire.

Following Wong Kar Wai, Xia Yongkang participated in the shooting and design of the films "spring break", "in the mood for love" and "2046" as a still photographer. In 2004, he directed the TV series "men's and women's Dictionary" co starred by Zhu Yin, Du Wenze and Li longyi.

May 20, 2005, Shanghai Street visual art space. In January 2006, the third of Hong Kong Design series, the Hong Kong Museum of culture (and four leaders), and in March 2006, the musashimori Art Museum in liuben, Japan held the wing shya exhibition.

In 2010, directed by Nicholas Tse, Jacky Cheung and other co starring love movie "love in the city.". On September 8, 2011, the film "global love" directed by him was released. In 2012, he directed the love short film "star knows my heart" co starred by Zhou Xun and Jing Boran. In 2013, he worked as a photographer for the action film "Huang Feihong's hero has a dream". In 2015, he and Chen Guohui co directed the romantic comedy "pingran Xingdong".

In 2016, he directed the short film Roman holiday starring Zhou Xun. In 2017, he directed the short love film "encounter in a moment", which was co starred by Du Juan and Zhang Ruoyun. In 2019, he will direct the short story "missing a moment in the air". In 2020, he will direct the love movie "stay away from me".

Personal life

Xia Yongkang's father was born in Shandong Province after he immigrated to Hong Kong.
