Liu Zhirong
David Lau chiwing (1952.11.9-2008.5.15) is well-known in Hong Kong. The son of Liu kexuan, an old movie star and famous Cantonese Opera actor, and the uncle of Yang Ling, an ATV artist. Liu Zhirong's son inherited his father's career and joined TVB (the predecessor of ATV) in the 1970s. In 1986, he married fellow artist Liang Shuzhuang, who is known as "model couple" in the industry. He has a son, Liu Jianle.
Acting experience
Liu Zhirong has been engaged in performing arts for more than 20 years, and has starred in dozens of TV series, such as "earth kindness" (as Yang Jiujin), "chameleon" (as he Sheng), "six robberies of Floating Life" (as Zhao Zhenpeng), "bloody Taipingshan" (as Zhou areI), and so on. Liu Zhirong's changeable images in his plays are widely talked about by audiences in Hong Kong, China and abroad. The ATV drama "huodongge" (playing Chen gongzhe) was broadcast in mainland China, and the response was good. He has won five Golden Globes of Hong Kong's top ten TV stars and is a representative of Liddy's TV heyday. In addition to performing dramas, most large-scale TV programs are hosted by Liu Zhirong. Since 1985, ATV won the right to host the International Miss Asia Pacific beauty contest for four years, Liu Zhirong has been the MC for four consecutive times. Other programs hosted by Liu Zhirong, whether they are entertainment and variety shows (such as "opening" and "history is crazy"), or current affairs and information shows (such as "1.1 billion people"), are highly appreciated. Liu Zhirong has a good eloquence and is known as the "gold medal emcee". Therefore, many chamber of Commerce banquets and even the government's return Memorial party will invite him to host.
Because of Liu Zhirong's outstanding performance in acting and hosting, even from Li's years to ATV, the station has changed its equity many times. In the late 1990s, he was elected as a regional councillor of Jordan, Hong Kong. During the period, he also participated in many ATV dramas, such as "JingWuMen", "close relatives", "sleeping with Wolves" and so on. Among them, Cai Liujin of "JingWuMen" is the most talked about by mainland audiences. He left ATV in 2000 after shooting "TV storm", and has not been involved in any drama since then.
