In 2003, Li BAOYING took part in the family comedy "white hand escape" and made her debut as an actor. In 2004, Li Baoying, together with Chi Sheng and Liu Zhen, starred in the urban love drama the last dance, playing the smart and confident president Yin Xiuzhen. In the same year, Li Baoying, Yuan Bin and Shen Hejun co starred in the emotional movie "my brother", playing the pure and beautiful school flower Meiling.

In 2004, Li BAOYING and Chi Sheng got to know each other for CO shooting the TV series the last dance. On February 27, 2008, Li BAOYING personally prepared birthday gifts and cakes for Chi Sheng. Later, she admitted through her agency that they had been dating for three months.

On September 27, 2013, after six years of love, Li BAOYING and Chi Sheng got married. On June 13, 2015, Li BAOYING gave birth to a daughter.

On February 5, 2019, Li BAOYING's society said that "Li BAOYING gave birth to a boy today. At present, both the mother and the child are healthy."
