What is the original intention?

Our generation grew up with the company of rock music. From some famous rock musicians and bands, such as Cui Jian, black leopard and Tang Dynasty, to today's establishment of rock bands of all sizes and styles, some exciting music boxes, the power of these music has inspired a generation. It also makes more and more people who like rock music and understand rock music.

Mr. Shi Zhanyu, the producer of the film "fruit", and Mr. Hu Nan, the producer of the film, used to form their own band with a member of this group. It's also a long-standing idea for them to make films on such subjects.

In the end, this paper starts with a lot of materials about the return of Chinese rock and roll industry, such as the description of "good" and "evil".

Q: What do you think of these fruits My girl?

In fact, I am very reluctant to use "Guo'er" to address them, because I think this word is derogatory. The audience may notice that the title of the film is "Guo" instead of "Guo'er", that is to say, I am not willing to regard the film people as a title, but as a group I want to express. The word "Guo'er" comes from Beijing dialect, and comes from the cross talk world. It used to mean "girl". Later, rock music spread to China, and many related derivatives came into being. In English, the girl who followed the musicians was called "group", which was transliterated as "flesh and blood" in Taiwan and other regions. At this time, the word "Guo'er" was picked up again and used for these girls.

When I first came into contact with them, I felt that these girls, with their publicity, vanity and inner emptiness, always made themselves look different. And it's hard to get into their hearts. They have a keen resistance to people outside the rock circle who try to live their lives and their hearts. Or pretend to be stupid, or sharp words, or extreme behavior to try to hide themselves. This aroused my strong desire to discipline them. I told these girls that I really wanted to get to know them, not to peep at their life world in the dark. In this way, their vigilance began to relax slowly, and I began to really approach them and share their inner world.

What surprised me was that they often had a very fragile heart under their outspoken and rebellious appearance. They play a tragic role in the whole rock music circle. They are scared, helpless and confused. They paralyze themselves with tobacco and alcohol, fill themselves with music and sex, and protect themselves with publicity and hard appearance.

They are essentially the same as all other girls, but they like and choose such a life, making them a relatively special group "fruit".

I hope that through this film, I can get to know their audience and understand these girls with personality, frankness and innocence from an objective point of view.

When will it be released? What kind of social repercussions do you expect?

The film "fruit" is expected to be completed in early August. It will be screened and discussed in a small scale in China, and then participate in some foreign film festivals and exhibitions. At the same time, corresponding distribution and screening will be done in China.

In addition, as far as the film itself is concerned, almost all the films are fictional, so is fruit, which tells a cold and complicated story with several fictional characters. I hope the audience will not copy it mechanically and watch the film with a calm and objective attitude. Of course, any film will be mixed after screening, it's just a matter of proportion. But I think as long as we seriously consider a film, no matter what kind of social reaction it will cause, it is worth seeing.

Q: Does the film involve some old Beijing slang? If so, did the audience from other places understand it when it was shown?

In China, Beijing is the city with the most developed rock music and the largest group of rock music. Therefore, the film "fruit" chose Beijing as the background city of the film. The lines of the film are all expressed in Beijing dialect. Of course, there are some old Beijing slang. But we weakened some dialect words when we deliberated the script lines in the early stage. On the premise of not affecting the plot and the regional characteristics of the film, we tried to use less dialect lines, which is also based on the consideration of the external audience. Therefore, whether we can understand this problem should not exist. The difference between Beijing dialect and Putonghua is not very big. There are a small number of slang words in the film. As long as there is a coherent language environment and prescribed situation, foreign audiences can understand it.

In addition, in the production of subtitles, we also consider making simple notes next to individual special lines, which will also help foreign audiences understand the lines and ensure the smooth viewing of the film.

Q: Whatever you say, about Beijing, about Beijing movies.

Beijing is a palace of art, where art practitioners from music, painting, dance, sculpture, architecture, film and other fields gather, exchange and refine. Like an elder, she accepted us with magnanimity and tolerance, and urged us with severity and calmness. This city carries too many dreams, but also gives people too much reality.

In fact, some of them are very thoughtful and talented young people. They are just angry. They just want to use this kind of music to vent their anger.
