Character evaluation
Wu rigen subverts the image of a tough guy in the TV play "guerrillas in East Sichuan". When he plays Du Fangqing, he makes great efforts both in heart and appearance. He makes a flesh and blood Communist into a solid wood. In the movie Xin Hai die, Wu rigen not only portrays the characters' integrity, tenacity and perseverance incisively and vividly, but also makes great efforts to shape the characters' inner feelings. He no longer makes up and formulates the characters, but more portrays the hero as a flesh and blood ordinary person, which makes the audience have a deeper understanding of the hero and more life-oriented. Wu rigen is simple and resolute, and he is very good at handling emotions, so the tough and heroic characters he has created for a long time always give the audience different feelings. Just like his name means "vast prairie" in Chinese, Wu rigen's many films and TV dramas embody a Mongolian man's tolerant, forthright and tough personality and heroic spirit, which not only impresses the audience deeply, but also establishes his position as a hard line student in the mainland. Wu rigen is very handy in creating films and TV works with this kind of theme. His understanding of history and speculation about the characters can often help him find the differences between all kinds of Heroes (Sohu review).
Wu rigen has a handsome appearance, mature temperament and excellent acting skills, and many of his heroes have also left a deep impression on the audience. His performance is relaxed, and he doesn't pursue facial makeup in characterization. Wu rigen's outstanding performance in the program "collecting maweidu" shows his rich historical and cultural cognition and excellent appreciation of porcelain (Xinhua Online Review).
