Huang Zongci, a native of Haishan, Suixi, Guangdong, is a revolutionary martyr. In 1925, Haishan village established the first rural farmers' Association of Suixi County, Haishan rural farmers' Association, elected Huang Zongci as the chairman of the farmers' Association. Then, it mobilized farmers in the area of Lemin, established four rural farmers' associations, including Lemin, dunwen, Yucun and Tiaoshen. Based on the farmers' armed forces of Haishan village, it organized an armed reserve of more than 70 people, namely the farmers' self-defense army.

On January 21, 1926, the farmers' Association of the Sixth District of Suixi County held an inaugural meeting in leminwei. The farmers' associations of each township sent six to ten armed representatives, with a total of more than 100 people attending the meeting. Jin Meirong, Huang Zongci, Huang Annong and Chen Yuhong were elected as members.

On April 12, 1927, Chiang Kai Shek launched a counter revolutionary coup in Shanghai. On the 15th, the right wing of the Kuomintang in Guangzhou defected and revolutionized, and then madly hunted and killed Communists, leftists and revolutionaries in small and medium-sized cities across the province. On April 24, the Suixi County Party committee of the Communist Party of China convened a meeting of some party members and key members of the farmers' Association in yangganwei, the Second District, to study the relevant countermeasures in response to the white terror and brutal massacre policy of the Kuomintang reactionaries. During the meeting, the Suixi reactionary authorities sent troops to encircle the venue. Deng Chengqiu, Yan Zhuo, he Yuanyu, Yang Qing, Huang zongmo, Chen Kexing, Jin Meirong, Chen Jingjing, Chen Anzhong, Chen Xingfen and Liang shangsheng were arrested on the spot. Only Huang Guangyuan and Huang Zongci escaped.

On May 14, Huang Guangyuan convened a meeting of Huang Zongci, Chen Guangli, Xue Wenzao and others in Haishan village to convey and implement the decision of the South Road peasants' Revolutionary Committee to launch armed struggle among peasants and fight back against the brutal massacre of Kuomintang reactionaries. At that time, pan linxiong, the reactionary head of the Sixth District, led seven district soldiers to xinweizi (now near leminyu Village) for extortion and handed over the guns of the peasants on duty on the ground of checking the gun certificate. After hearing the news, Huang Guangyuan sent Huang Zongci to lead a small group of farmers to xinweizai to disarm pan linxiong and others and take them back to Haishan village. On May 19, Lin Yingli, the head of Suixi County, and Xie LIANHANG, the head of Haikang County, joined forces with the local reactionary forces in Suixi and Haikang counties. A total of about 1000 people attacked Haishan village in two ways. Huang Guangyuan and Huang Zongci led more than 300 peasant troops to resist the enemy bravely, repelling the enemy's attacks many times and killing more than 10 enemy soldiers. This battle opened the prelude to the armed uprising of the peasants in Suixi County and even Nanlu area. On June 25, after the war of Haishan, more than 500 people from Qu Nong army and industrial and regiment army of the sixth and seventh districts gathered around Haishan village to step up military training, and then held an oath meeting near michangtang of Haishan village in the evening. They were unified into a brigade, with Huang Guangyuan as commander-in-chief and Chen Guangli as deputy commander-in-chief. The brigade has four squadrons: First Squadron Leader Xue Wenzao, second squadron leader Huang Zongci, third squadron leader Yu Daosheng and fourth squadron leader Huang Anyang.
