Character evaluation
Yan shunkai's works always keep pace with the times, with new language, new jokes and new characters. His performance is full of boundless love and sympathy for the small people at the bottom with shortcomings, which not only makes people cry, but also makes people think deeply. (comment on screenwriter Zhao Huanan)
Yan shunkai has his own school of comedy art. His characters are vivid and accurate, and he plays them just right. (comments by Xu Weixin)
Yan shunkai is an "alternative" in the Chinese comedy stage. This versatile artist takes comedy as a serious and lifelong task. He not only stars, directs and participates in the creation of dozens of farces and comedy films, TV dramas and sitcoms, but also sets his own school in comedy sketches. Yan shunkai's successful road of combining local farce with academic performance, and his performance attitude of going deep into life, strict training, and serious creation are worth learning from young actors.
