Making of Skull Island

originally, the crew thought that New Zealand was the ideal location for shooting Skull Island in the film, but after walking into the rainforest of New Zealand, they found that the scene there was no different from that in other films, and it didn't have the dangerous terrain needed in the story, so the crew decided to build it artificially. Weta's special effects technicians finally completed 53 miniature scenes and models. Among them, the most delicate is the miniature rainforest composed of 104000 artificial leaves, 4500 vines, 25000 miniature plants and 220 miniature trees. The largest miniature landscape is 38 meters long, 5.2 meters wide and 5.5 meters high. When designing the paleontology on the skull island, the creators deliberately deviated from the reality and injected more fantasy and fictional elements. Computer made New York City

Scene layout
