In the mid-1970s, he joined Shaw film company and became a basic artist. He has successively participated in the performances in the films Shaolin Temple, biography of the hero of the divine carving and the story of killing the Dragon by relying on heaven. In 1983, Xiao Yulong, together with Wen Bixia and Liu Zhaoming, made a series of films, which became his representative works.
