Song Chuan
Song Chuan, born in 1910 in Anyang City, Henan Province, began to work as an employee in his native place in 1925 and then as a school worker. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1933 and was an early leader of the Anyang workers' movement and the Chinese trade union.
He once served as deputy director of Henan Federation of trade unions, chairman of China forestry trade union and vice chairman of China agriculture and forestry trade union.

In 1934, under the leadership of the CPC Yuxin mill Party branch, song Chuan, who was then a staff member of xiaosikong village school, distributed leaflets for two consecutive days at the Yuxin mill workers' sports meeting, which laid the foundation for the future Yuxin mill workers to fight against the deduction of pocket cloth thread. In March 1935, the Henan provincial Party committee sent Deng Haiwang to Anyang to restore the party organization. Deng assigned Party member Suo Huisheng to set up the Anyang County Working Committee of the CPC. In accordance with the instructions of the provincial Party committee, Suo Huisheng contacted song Chuan, a Communist Party member, and others. In March, he held a meeting in the mulberry forest outside xiaohuayuan village in the west of the city to convey the spirit of the instructions of the provincial Party committee and set up the working committee of Anyang County. After the Anti Japanese War, the red army organized a large number of propaganda activities for the workers in the new city and Anyang air factory. However, due to the betrayal of the traitors, song Chuan was forced to leave Anyang to seek the party organization in Beiping. In 1936, the Shanghai wharf General Union held a dock workers' meeting in MAILUN middle school (now Jiguang middle school) and established the Shanghai wharf Anti Japanese National Salvation Association. Song Chuan, a member of the Communist Party of China, was elected as the executive member of the National Salvation Association, which promoted the development of the dock workers' anti Japanese national salvation movement. In the middle of November 1947, the seventh prefectural committee of Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei, the seventh special office and the military division of the Communist Party of China were established in xiaoshidian, Fangcheng County, Nanyang. Song Chuan was elected Deputy Secretary of the prefectural committee. In 1948, after Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping led the Central Plains Bureau and the Central Plains military region to Baofeng, they launched the Wanxi campaign and Wandong campaign one after another in a very short period of time, which greatly changed the situation of Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei. The three liberated areas of Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei, Tongbai and Jianghan became one. According to the needs of the development of the situation, the Central Plains Bureau divided Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei into two administrative regions, southern Shaanxi and Western Henan. On June 7, the Party committee and military region of western Henan were established. The original seven prefectural committees, seven special offices and seven divisions of Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei were changed into two prefectural committees, two special offices and two divisions of western Henan, and song Chuan was elected Deputy Secretary of the prefectural committee. In September 1947, after the liberation of Lingbao and Lushi, the first, second, third, special offices and districts of Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei were established. Song Chuan served as the head of the Organization Department of the first and later the Secretary of Lushi County Party committee. In June 1949, the Preparatory Committee of Henan Federation of trade unions was established in Kaifeng, and song Chuan was elected deputy director. In August 1950, the first trade union congress of Henan Province was held in Kaifeng, with 371 formal representatives. The Congress passed the resolution on the summary of the work of the trade union in Henan Province in the past year and the specific tasks in the future and the constitution of the general trade union of Henan Province, formally established the general trade union of Henan Province, and issued the notice to the workers of the whole province. At the meeting, song Chuan was elected deputy director of Henan Federation of trade unions. Since then, song Chuan has successively served as chairman of China forestry trade union and vice chairman of China agriculture and forestry trade union. In 1953, he was elected as the international vice president of the agricultural and forestry workers' Union. From September 15 to 28, 1954, the first session of the first National People's Congress was solemnly held in Beijing. The total number of delegates to the conference was 1226 (147 women and 178 ethnic minorities). Song Chuan, a representative from Anyang who was then the international vice president of China Agricultural and forestry workers' Union, attended the meeting. Deputy to the first National People's Congress, member of the third to Fifth National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, and executive member of the seventh to Ninth National Federation of trade unions.
Character evaluation
Song Chuan began to participate in the Anyang workers' movement in his early days and became the leader of China's trade union work. He was loyal to the party and the people and the cause of the party all his life.
