Character evaluation
Yu Yunkang is the director of the early "new wave" film period in Hong Kong. He is good at making horror and horror movies. Yu Yunkang's horror films have a unique style. Although they are scary, they are not good at bloodiness and murder. On the contrary, Yu Yunkang is better at mastering details in the construction of terror atmosphere. The combination of sound, color and environment is the symbol of Yu's horror films. At the same time, he tries to reflect reality through horror scenes. Gloomy and vicious house, strange building, red ghost and master Maoshan have become the cultural symbols of ghost films produced in Hong Kong. Most of his horror films have no ending. Unlike many traditional Hong Kong Style horror films, ghosts and ghosts are subdued and peace is restored. (Xinhua entertainment, Sina entertainment review)
