Yang Huasheng

Yang Huasheng (1918-may 24, 2012), male, Han nationality, was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. The second batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects are representative inheritors of solo.

Character experience

Yang Huasheng has been fond of singing Beijing Opera since he was a child. His parents objected to Yang Huasheng becoming a Peking Opera actor because it was too hard for him to learn Peking Opera. So Yang Huasheng was admitted to Huaguang new drama club of the big world and became an intern in civilized opera. It was also in the big world that Yang Huasheng met many famous comic masters of his predecessors and worshipped Bao Lele as his teacher. Although Yang Huasheng gave up the dream of Peking Opera, he became a generation of famous comedians by accident.

Anti Japanese propaganda

In 1931, he joined the Huaguang new drama club of Shanghai big world. When the "August 13" Anti Japanese war broke out in Songhu, Yang Huasheng was performing with his partner Zhang qiaonong in Hangzhou big world. Soon after, Hangzhou big world became a refugee shelter, and the bloody Yang Huasheng and Zhang qiaonong took part in the "Anti Japanese support association" to publicize the Anti Japanese war. Later, Yang Huasheng took part in the fifth team of the Anti Japanese drama troupe led by Guo Moruo and Tian Han, and went all over the country to perform Anti Japanese propaganda. It was not until 1947 that he returned to Shanghai and continued to be a comedian.

Farce master

In 1950, he served as the head of the cooperative farce troupe and played the leading role of Rudolph in the farce living Bodhisattva. After 1951, Dagong farce troupe was set up, playing 369 in 72 lodgers, portraying a cunning and vicious reactionary police image; playing Zhang Chao in Suzhou two tolerance, portraying a chivalrous and resourceful character. In 1979, he joined the Shanghai People's farce troupe and served as deputy and honorary head of the troupe. He plays Zhu Shoucai in false husband and false wife, and shows the greedy character of miser with exaggerated performance. Monologue performance is complete in speaking, learning, acting and singing. The bandit a Si's head in the TV play "Sanmao vagrancy" is very fierce, representing as "opera miscellaneous singing", "Putonghua and dialect", "Ningbo empty city plan" and so on. He has attended the National Symposium on comedy aesthetics, and has given "comic lectures" in more than ten universities such as Shanghai Jiaotong University and Fudan University. His works include "60 years of Yang Huasheng's funny career". In 1992, he was awarded the outstanding cultural contribution certificate and special government allowance by the State Council.

The farce "72 tenants", "muddle headed parents", "Suzhou two tolerance", "living Bodhisattva" and "true story of Ah Q" won the praise of the audience, peers and experts. In particular, "369" in "Seventy two lodgers" and "Zhang Chao" in "Suzhou two lodgers" are almost household names.

The inheritor of monologue

Yang Huasheng's monologue "Ningbo empty city plan", "Western Mirror" and other works have won wide praise. Yang Huasheng's ability to sing Beijing Opera in dialect is even more amazing. A section of Ningbo empty city makes people laugh.

He died of illness

On May 24, 2012, Yang Huasheng, the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage "monologue" project and Shanghai comic giant, died in Shanghai at the age of 94. In more than 60 years of stage career, Yang Huasheng has performed nearly 100 works, leaving a large number of vivid stage images.

Get honor

In 2009, Yang Huasheng was elected as the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage "monologue" project assessed by the Ministry of culture. At the end of 2010, Yang Huasheng won the "lifelong achievement award" of "Peony award of Chinese Quyi", the highest award in the field of Chinese Quyi. When Yang Yiping, Secretary of the Party group of the Municipal Federation of literary and art circles, and Wang rugang, chairman of the municipal Music Association, sent the trophies, certificates and prizes to Yang Huasheng's bed, the old man not only read all the words on the certificates without missing a word, but also said: "today's happiness is really happiness."
