Wang Zhigang

Wang Zhigang, male, Han nationality, was born in October 1957 in Dingyuan, Anhui Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in December 1986 and began to work in January 1976. Graduated from the school of economics and management of Tsinghua University, majoring in management science and engineering, with a postgraduate degree, a doctor's degree in management, and a researcher level senior engineer, enjoying the special allowance of the national government.

He is now a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee, Minister of the Ministry of science and technology and Secretary of the Party group.

From January 1976 to October 1978, educated youth of Changshan commune, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province;

From October 1978 to July 1982, he studied information theory in the first Department of Northwest Institute of telecommunication engineering;

From July 1982 to October 1996, he worked in the 28th Research Institute of the Ministry of electronic industry and successively served as deputy director of the third research department, deputy chief engineer and deputy director (member of the Party committee) of the Institute;

From January 1999 to January 2002, he served as vice president and member of the Party group of the Institute of Electronic Sciences of the Ministry of information industry, and member of the preparatory group of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation;

From January 2002 to September 2003, he was deputy general manager and member of the Party group of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation;

From September 2003 to October 2008, general manager and party secretary of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation;

From September 2003 to January 2009, concurrently president of China Academy of Electronic Sciences;

From October 2008 to March 2011, he was the general manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party group of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation;

From March 2011 to July 2012, he was Deputy Secretary of the Party group and vice minister of the Ministry of science and technology;

From July 2012 to March 2018, Secretary of the Party group and vice minister of the Ministry of science and technology;
