Chen Liying, nicknamed "sand butterfly", was born in the ancient source of Huaxi, melting the talent of purple sand. He is a national assistant craftsman, executive director of purple sand art collection Committee of China collectors association, member of China Arts and Crafts Association, member of Jiangsu Ceramic Association, and artistic director of "Daming pottery".

Chen Liying, nicknamed "sand butterfly", studied from Hu Yongcheng, a provincial master of Arts and crafts and a researcher level senior arts and crafts artist. Her works are beautiful, fresh and elegant. In 2012, he studied in the fourth advanced workshop of ceramic innovative design in Jiangsu Province.
