Qu Yun was born in Muping, Shandong Province on November 8, 1928. At the age of 13, he became a member of the children's League and actively participated in Anti Japanese propaganda activities. When I was a teenager, I had the experience of performing on stage.
In 1946, at the age of 18, Qu Yun wanted to join the army. He walked more than 100 kilometers to catch up with the PLA. Soon joined the Jiaodong Association of literary and Art Troupe, followed the troops to the front line to perform for the soldiers.
In 1956, Qu Yun became an actor in Bayi film studio and was good at creating various types of old women. Classic works include the film "bitter cauliflower", "cuckoo urges spring", "Tianshan travel", "medicine", "lost song", "gold does not change" and the TV series "silent spring flow", "Tianlun". In the 1980s, after his retirement from Bayi factory, Qu Yun seldom went out because of diabetes. However, he signed up for a Chinese painting class and had considerable attainments in painting, calligraphy and poetry.
