Yu Lizhen
Yu Lizhen, a Cantonese, was born and raised in Nanyang in 1915. He devoted himself to Cantonese Opera since childhood and became famous at the age of 16. Yu Lizhen is known as "Dao Ma Dan" (a female actress who is good at performing martial arts). She has made friends with seven Cantonese Opera actresses, such as Deng Biyun, Luo Yanqing, fenghuangnv and Wu Junli, Jinlan, known as "eight peonies". Yu Lizhen ranked the longest, nicknamed "Purple peony". He left the art world in 1968 and immigrated to Canada. He died in 2004 at the age of 89.

Yu Lizhen, a famous Cantonese Opera actor, is known as a versatile writer and martial artist. It can be called "the king of Donggong" (the Cantonese film headless Donggong is starred by her).
