Profile

Chen Zhihua was born in a carving family in Xiuyu district. He is a master of Chinese root art, an internationally registered master of Arts and crafts, the executive director of China root art society, the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage "Ma Siji root art", and the fourth generation inheritor of Putian intangible cultural heritage "Chen's root art". He devotes himself to creation in terms of ancestral carving skills and exquisite techniques of making root carving It has been studied for nearly 20 years. His main works "Golden Snake Dance", "thinker", "Fengming Jiutian", "charm", "Nuwa mending the sky" won the "Liu Kaiqu" gold, silver and bronze awards; his work "yizhichan" is more unique and vivid, and won the "Fujian Province Olympic root Grand Prix creative special Award". Chen's root art has been inherited and explored by several generations of inheritors, and Chen Zhihua, the fourth generation inheritor, has formed his own creative personality of root art. He skillfully borrows the nature, highlights the artistic conception, pays attention to the theme close to life, pays attention to the layout, and creates with the nature. He combines nature with emotion, and his unique construction never pays attention to (the only) lone product in the world. It consists of six basic programs: observation, imagination, conception, layout, naming and natural simulation. Observation: through careful observation and analysis, we can accurately grasp the structural characteristics of root. Second, imagination: according to the natural characteristics of the root, through the pictograph, the subjective inspiration generated by the connection. Third, conception: it is the process of establishing image, artistic conception and theme in artistic creation. It combines the image "signal" provided by the root with the feeling of life and nature to achieve the best effect. 4. Layout: it is an important link in the creation of root art, focusing on making "articles" on skillful characters, and making full use of the natural advantages of roots to excavate and skillfully borrow nature. 5. Naming: to keep close to the movement of the works, associate with the theme of real life, advocate the new trend of the times, and constantly refine and choose the appropriate naming to play the role of "drawing the dragon and enlightening the sunshine". Sixth, the natural simulation method, in the moving part, after the author's careful interpretation of the natural texture, using tools according to the local natural imitation processing. In order to inherit and develop Chen's root art, we held three training courses on Chen's root art with the company's reputation from 2006 to 2011, and more than 30 people from the company and its peers participated in the training.
