Huang Ting, vice president of chaoxue Research Institute. His ancestral home is Jieyang City, Guangdong Province.

In 1951, he moved to Chenghai, Shantou City with his parents.
Professor of ancient Chinese literature, researcher of history, master's supervisor. He once served as director of Chaoshan culture research center of Shantou University, director of Chinese Department of Shantou University, librarian of Shantou University, director of chaoxue Research Institute of Hanshan Normal University, etc. He is now vice president of Guangdong chaoxue Research Institute and editor in chief of chaoxue research papers and periodicals.
He majored in Chinese language and literature in the Chinese Department of South China Normal University in May 1978 and graduated in January 1982.
From January 1982 to December 1992, he worked in the Chinese Department of Hanshan Teachers College,
In December 1991, he won the title of associate professor of ancient Chinese literature.
In December 1992, he was transferred to the Chaoshan culture research center of Shantou University,
In December 1999, he was a graduate student in the Department of culture and history. He once served as director of Chaoshan Culture Research Center, director of Chinese department and director of Shantou University Library.
In October 2003, he was transferred to work in the Institute of chaoxue of Hanshan Normal University as director of the Institute and editor in chief of chaoxue research.
Main contributions
Huang Ting's research direction is social history, cultural history and regional history. He has presided over several national and provincial important subjects. He is one of the main scholars of tidal studies. His main works include the origin and development of Chaoshan culture, the history of Chaoshan (Volume I), the history of China's overseas transportation, and nearly 100 papers and works.

He has presided over or participated in the following major projects: "Chaoshan culture research" (key social science project of Guangdong Province, 1995, main member of the research group, approved in 1998), "Chaozhou in the 16th century" (key social science project of Guangdong Province, 1998, project leader, approved in 2000), "Chaoshan history" (national social science planning project, 1999, project leader, approved in 2003) )。
