Xiuying, a pen name, was born in Lixian County, Hebei Province in 1946. In 1975, he graduated from the Department of fine arts, Hubei Academy of Arts, majoring in Chinese painting. He successively worked in Jingzhou Museum. Now he is the director of Hubei Artists Association, vice chairman of Hubei Jingzhou Artists Association and researcher of Jingzhou mass art museum.

Introduction to art

For more than 20 years, Chen Xiuying has been persistently engaged in the creation of Chinese painting. Its freehand figure painting often takes the lovely children's image as the theme, and uses the blending color ink to draw flowing lines and decorate with bright colors to make the picture more dynamic. In the fine brushwork heavy color painting, it absorbs the nutrition of Chu culture and folk art, and integrates strong personality. Many works have won awards in provincial exhibitions and published in various newspapers.
