Wu Wenhui

Wu Wenhui is the founder of network literature, the founder of business model, operation system and copyright development mechanism of network literature, and one of the founders of starting point Chinese, the leading portal of network literature in China. He used to be the president of Shanda literature, the CEO of zhongyuan.com, the CEO of Tencent literature, and the co CEO of Yuewen group.

After Wu Wenhui graduated from the computer department of Peking University in 2000, reading novels was his biggest hobby. Through the Internet forum, he met a group of network literature lovers.

In 2002, Wu Wenhui participated in the initiation and establishment of starting point Chinese network, planned and led the construction of the first complete set of electronic publishing micro payment system and content management system in the field of network literature, and successfully promoted them, making the business logic of network literature established and become the industry standard. The online literature business model proposed by Wu Wenhui has become a classic case of global digital publishing, and has been unanimously recognized by scholars and many research institutions in the industry.

Under the leadership of Wu Wenhui, starting point Chinese network has become the first website in the industry. Network literature users have made great strides from minority reading to core digital content category. It has become one of the core IP sources of cultural industry and one of the few successful local Internet models. During his tenure as the general manager and chairman of starting point Chinese network, Wu Wenhui successively launched the plan to build network literature writers, and proposed the diversified operation direction of network literature copyright. After the founding of Shanda literature, Wu Wenhui served as the president of Shanda literature, and successively proposed the channel cooperation system and norms of network literature copyright direct marketing and distribution. At the end of March 2013, Wu Wenhui resigned as the president of Shanda literature and the chairman of starting point Chinese network.

On April 16, 2014, he became the CEO of Tencent literature.

In March 2015, Yuewen group, a new company jointly established by Tencent literature and Shanda literature, has officially announced its listing. Wu Wenhui is the CEO of Yuewen group.

In April 2020, the board of directors of Yuewen group announced that Wu Wenhui was transferred from executive director, CO CEO, chairman of the strategy and Investment Committee of the board of directors and members of the compensation committee of the board of directors to non-executive director, vice chairman of the board of directors and member of the strategy and Investment Committee of the board of directors. Wu Wenhui officially resigned as the co CEO of Yuewen group.

In June 2020, Yueting information technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. underwent industrial and commercial changes. Wu Wenhui resigned as the legal representative and executive director, and Cheng Wu, chief executive officer of Yueting group, took over the post.

On August 17, 2020, Wu Wenhui withdrew from the legal representative, manager and executive director of Beijing Yuewen Technology Co., Ltd.
