Wang Xinhua
Wang Xinhua, male, born in October 1960 in Nanhai, Guangdong Province, is a doctor of medicine, professor and doctoral supervisor. He was once a member of the Standing Committee of the Party committee, deputy secretary of the Party committee and President of Guangzhou Medical University. He is an excellent expert in Guangzhou City, the director of the national bilingual demonstration course "Fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine", and the final evaluation expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He enjoys the special allowance of the State Council.
He has long been committed to the clinical, teaching and scientific research of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and is a core member of the clinical research and application team of artemisinin in China. He has presided over a number of scientific research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and won two national science and technology progress awards (main members). He was awarded the title of "excellent teacher of teaching and educating in southern Guangdong". The chief editor translated the national planning textbook clinical basis of traditional Chinese medicine (Bilingual) and the national planning textbook traditional Chinese medicine (English version).

He has successively served as deputy director, Secretary of general Party branch, director of Foreign Affairs Department (Dean of International College) and vice president of Institute of tropical medicine of Guangzhou University of traditional Chinese medicine;
From April 2012 to December 2020, he served as the Standing Committee member, deputy secretary and President of the Party committee of Guangzhou Medical University.
He also serves as the leader of clinical discipline of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine of State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine, director of Chinese society of traditional Chinese medicine, vice president of Guangdong society of traditional Chinese medicine, member of Teaching Steering Committee of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine of Ministry of education, and vice chairman of Teaching Steering Committee of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine of Guangdong Province.
Main achievements
He has long been committed to the clinical, teaching and scientific research work of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. His main research fields are: artemisinin treatment of malaria, antimalarial drug resistance mechanism and traditional Chinese medicine antiviral research. He is a core member of the clinical research and application team of artemisinin in China.
Presided over a number of scientific research projects such as NSFC joint fund projects, general projects and national science and technology support plan.
He has published more than 100 academic papers and won two national science and technology progress awards (main members).
The main courses include: Fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine (Bilingual), "clinical fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine" (Bilingual), "medical English", etc. more than 70 master's and doctoral students have been guided, and have won the title of "excellent teacher of teaching and educating people in southern Guangdong".
