Character evaluation
From "deep night" to "woman flower" to "if life deceives you", every work directed by Yao Xiaofeng is delicate and profound, and has a good reputation on the screen. And "big man" is to broaden the new model of family drama (Sina entertainment review).
"Ye Luo Chang'an" fully shows the director Yao Xiaofeng's unique feeling of history and sincere experience of life. It combines the reversal of history with the ups and downs of life. It makes us appreciate the desolation of history and feel the soul stirring of the characters' fate (Sohu Entertainment review).
Director Yao, who is a photographer, is very delicate in making emotional dramas. He is especially good at capturing the actor's performance and feelings beyond his lines (Yu Feihong comments). Yao Xiaofeng's delicacy is not only reflected in his creation, but also in his insight into life. It is this delicacy that makes his works full of vitality. From the reflection of the post-60s and Post-70s, to the confusion of the post-80s, and then to the selflessness of the post-90s, Yao Xiaofeng tried to restore the world with his own lens, bringing more profound feelings and thinking to the audience in front of the screen (public online review).
"Xiong Yin, general manager of the national campus cinema line of China education film, believes that" literary and artistic workers are born with a mission. No matter the director, actor or producer of "take dad to study abroad", they are imperceptibly educating and cultivating a generation of people. " Zhang Dexiang, vice chairman of the Chinese Literary Critics Association and former editor in chief of contemporary TV, describes the highlights of TV dramas with "strong sense of reality, strong plot and strong personality", and says: "the experience of taking dad to study abroad is of great significance for us to think about education and how to be a father." Yi Kai, Deputy Secretary General of China Television Arts Commission, compared the play with Yao's previous work "tiger mother, cat father", saying that he had deep feelings when watching the play and realized that intergenerational communication between parents and children is very important. Besides accompanying children, parents need to become better. " (china.com.cn)
"Whether it's tiger mom, cat dad, Mr. love, big man or little man, looking back at Yao Xiaofeng's works, his concern and thinking about real life are his consistent persistence in creation. He believes that works closely related to his own life and integrated with his own feelings and experiences can be done well. With the rapid development of modern society and the keen observation of things around him, he constantly finds out the highlights of life, and seriously excavates "this familiar thing", so as to create nutritious and content works (Xinhua Online Review)
The TV play "take dad to study abroad" makes a detailed discussion and presentation of "studying abroad", which provides observation samples for families studying abroad. Different from the floating show of dragonfly skimming water, the play focuses on the forefront of life in the era, namely the upsurge of studying abroad at a younger age, including accompanying students, children's education and growth, etc. Yao Xiaofeng, director of the play, said: "as a father, I am also the protagonist in the story of studying abroad. It is our original intention to strip away the beautiful shell of studying abroad and expose the essence of real life. "
