Wei Linyu is a photographer in the feature room of Bayi film studio. Born in August 1930, he was born in Shuyang, Henan Province. He joined the army in 1947 and took part in the famous battles of Huaihai and crossing the river. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Academy of art in 1952, and later joined the feature film studio of Bayi factory. He has participated in the photography of dozens of documentaries, military educational films and feature films.
Profile
In his long-term artistic practice, he has formed a bold and unconstrained artistic style. His representative works include five golden flowers, red sun of Keshan, prelude to Dongjin, serf, bitter cauliflower, anger of coconut forest, spy, Zhongshan under the wind and rain (cooperation), wangrilian and so on. Among them, Prelude to Dongjin won the outstanding film award of the General Administration, serf won the first prize of the general administration He won the Golden Eagle Award of Manila International Film Festival, and was included in the textbook of Photography Department of Film Academy. "Zhongshan in the wind and rain" won the excellent film award of the Ministry of culture and the Art Award of the people's Liberation Army. He pays attention to the cultivation of photographic talents, and has written the book "the artistic quality and skills of feature film photographers", which is highly praised in the film industry. He is now a member of China Film Association.
