Character evaluation
Gao Liqiang is a more introverted person, speaking slowly, but very keen. His works convey the creator's unique understanding of reality with vivid and perceptible characters and profound experience of reality. His works are deeply branded with the brand of the times, showing the "collective unconsciousness" of the current new understanding of history and reality. Gao Liqiang, a photographer, has a strong pursuit of images. In the beginning of each film, the close-up shot is used to quickly edit to strengthen the visual rhythm and guide the audience into the narrative of the film. Instead of adopting the traditional mode of melodrama, his films focus on image building and express his new understanding of the times and history. His films convey a new understanding of the times, life and history. The Long March, the reform of state-owned enterprises, the life of the police and the dreams of Tibetan children are all traditional realistic themes, but the creators give them new content (review of contemporary film).
