Character evaluation
Xu Haofeng is not as enigmatic as the martial arts master he created. He is frank, objective and wise, and has insight into the position of individual life in the background. The martial arts world he built is different from any martial arts world. There is no flying over the eaves and walls, no going to heaven and earth, only a duel between wisdom and skill. It is a real martial arts world saying goodbye to stunts, special effects, dance and hanging Weiya.
From the track of the Japanese pirates to the archer willow White Ape, and then to master, Xu Haofeng's techniques are becoming more and more mature, and he is indeed slowly transitioning from art film to commercial film. In master, it is not only the unique image style, but more importantly, Xu Haofeng constructs his own world view of martial arts, which embodies Xu Haofeng's own Chinese classical philosophy and martial arts cultivation. In Xu Haofeng's martial arts, the practitioners are human beings, not "chivalrous men". They really have selfish desires. Wulin is not beyond the world, but is submerged in the background of the times.
