Reading guide
"Lotus second opening" and my inner self dialogue (on behalf of the new version of preface of "Lotus second opening") - Cheng Ran's "Lotus second opening" is a text I wrote from 1996 to 2006. These words are the mental journey of nearly ten years. Many feelings, even close friends do not understand. Some people will be surprised when they get the book. Because my self talk has a strange side to them. I think that when my friends release their inner world, I will have the same sigh. in fact, many delicate experiences of life can't be shared with people face to face. Language is too light, but words can bear the weight. when a lot of words are spoken, the value is cut. People are always dissolving the profundity brought by language. We are not used to facing the inner words. When we face them, we will be embarrassed. when there is a gap in communication, we will also find that it is not the other party who cannot communicate with you. It's that you can't open up and liberate yourself. Most of the time, what we avoid is not others, but ourselves. there are also many unspeakable tastes and questions, which can only enter the literary expression and become the model of self questioning and self answering when they can't be solved for a moment. "Lotus second open" was born in the above all kinds of Kuang Wei unique products. It can be seen as the struggle of a person's youth in the past ten years. It is a process of questioning, questioning, searching, no solution, fading away, gradually emerging and bright body and mind. It's like a lotus flower, from the initial budding, to gradually blooming, until blooming experience. In this experience, I found myself playing two roles, which is the origin of my pseudonym "lanruo and Wanchong". If LAN is asking questions, he will try to answer them; if LAN is pessimistic, he will be happy; if LAN is asking questions, he will make jokes. There seems to be some division, but it is also a unity of opposites. The two of them let me learn self-consciousness and balance between the two poles, let me experience the extremes and know the beauty of the middle way; let me understand the norms in laissez faire and find a place in confusion. this spontaneous role assignment, as if instinctive, makes me have a different experience: there are thousands of people in the world, but there are not many people who study their true colors carefully. In terms of quantity, there are indeed a large number of people in various forms; in terms of essence, there are few people, which can be divided into "I" and "my projection". People who write pay attention to observing others and experiencing their lives, but we all know that empathy is wonderful. There is no difference between you and others on the inner level. If you want to understand others and write about them well, you'd better understand yourself and observe yourself first. The spirit seems to be the core, but the appearance is the extension. so, I gradually began to face myself, no longer Dodge, no longer embarrassed, after removing the self decoration and beautification, the real inner me began to speak. The deeper the dialogue, the more I can observe the ups and downs of my thoughts. I saw clearly my fear, shyness, seriousness and malady. I write them down as they are, and look at myself as if I were someone else. when objectivity, contemplation and deep contemplation become habits, the pain is alleviated and the sense of joy is increasingly filled. such a process of taking a mirror to shine through one's body and mind takes place in one's deep valley, but it gets a keen response. This is something I never thought of at the beginning. originally unfamiliar readers and friends wrote to me and enthusiastically set up the "lanruo book club". Many people also excerpted and reprinted the words in the blog, and some people wrote very heartfelt after reading. Some people give this book as a gift to their relatives and friends who have gone through all kinds of hardships and have been tossed about in illness or loneliness. Because of readers' spontaneous recommendation and word of mouth, this book with little publicity became a best seller in 2006. these readers, who have been young, or are experiencing youth, have doubts about life and death, doubt about parting, wrestle, seek and encounter setbacks in front of love and ideals, just like me. They love my pain. They also say that we don't know each other, but we don't set up defences, just like the only child, we are heart to heart. all this makes me grateful and clear. My readers and I are one. Countless Buddhist scholars, philosophers and writers have inspired my ignorant life. I really look at myself in the mirror and inspire others' bravery by analyzing myself mercilessly, so that others can take it as a mirror. Countless lives in the past and in the future, we are one. We see ourselves as we are because we inspire each other. Two years later, this little book won Bing Xin's prose prize again. I'm very grateful to all the famous judges for their encouragement, especially Mr. Wang Zongren. no unexpected result was expected from the origin of everything. They are not born for the results, just from a sincere cry. Lotus is a book for the mind. In my heart, prose writing is the need of my heart. It is not a means of making a living. It is far away from all falsehood. It is the projection of my heart and the portrayal of nature. In such words, it can not tolerate any utilitarian purpose and sustenance. It is the touchstone for those who love words, freedom and truth. Echo, encouragement, expectation and love are all my spur. They also told me that the right way is to eliminate the false and retain the true. in the future, we need to go on steadily. I still remember that in the Danish film breaking the waves, the heroine Beth came to the church to ask God in order to balance the extreme experience in her life. She looks up, devout and transparent. She asks God questions that she can't understand. Then the picture that shocked me happened. When she couldn't wait for the answer, Beth lowered her head and imitated the voice of God in her heart to answer her questions. At that moment, I suddenly had this kind of understanding: you are your own patron saint, only with your own consciousness and commitment, can you get rid of the clouds of life, gain inner strength, and get the answer. In Christianity, they call it finding your inner Christ. In Buddhism, the Buddha calls it Buddha nature. Every one of us has been trudging in the outside world for too long, and inner vision rarely happens. But if looking inward happens, not only do we meet and have a dialogue with our inner self, we will grow. this scene of the film is deeply imprinted in my mind and has a great influence on my writing. When you can talk to yourself, words will not only bring beauty, but also bring self-examination, help and even salvation. on the occasion of the new edition of lotus second opening, I would like to share with readers, peers and fellow practitioners that the beauty of words, inner beauty and thought are indispensable in writing. And all these beauties are tempered by the truth. Thank all the teachers and friends who helped this book come out! "One heart and one mind to serve tea" short sentences like tea -- Comments on Cheng Ran's "one heart and one mind to serve tea" -- Xu Haofeng. tea is as deep as the sea. The ancients used tea to establish dignity and realize life. Cheng ran was a classmate of mine in college. I used to follow Wang Xizhi's example in college. I was bedridden all day, lying on the top of the upper and lower bunks and hanging myself up. One day, Cheng ran came. She climbed to the top of the upper and lower bunk opposite me and sat down with her legs hanging. What she said was Zen and pure land. So I had to get up and sit upright to face it
