Despite the heavy rain in Beijing the day before yesterday, the master class held by Xu Fangyi at the National Grand Theater welcomed 40 students. She told the dancers, "no matter who you are, everyone has their own potential. If you want to dance, you need to understand your body and make good use of its potential."
As one of the most famous and outstanding Chinese dancers in the world, Xu Fangyi not only served as the chief dancer in the world famous Martha Grimm dance company, but also was the main performer of Taiwan's famous Cloud Gate Dance Collection "water moon". Now she has successfully cooperated with many famous star dancers and choreographers in the world, and is known as "Martha Grimm of Taiwan" It's not "Sam". Xu Fangyi said in an interview with reporters after the master class yesterday: "I only discovered my body's potential when I was 19 years old."
Xu Fangyi told reporters: "before I was 19 years old, I had been" playing "in art school for three years. At that time, I was happy, but my parents didn't want me to dance. Their idea was to study hard, or they would not have a job. When I was 19 years old, rose parks, a famous dance teacher from Australia, came to our school. He saw the performances of us girls, and a casual remark touched me. He said that my body had great potential. At that time, I started a promise I had given myself to concentrate on dancing in order not to let him down. From that day on, my life changed. "
The second change of Xu Fangyi's dance career was after she arrived in New York. She said, "it was in my hometown first, and then in Taipei. When I arrived in New York, I found that Taiwan was just a small island, and the world was too big. But I had my first failure in New York. When I applied for a dance company, I was defeated at 3:20. Let me see this failure
