Li Qimin

Li Qimin, male, born on June 9, 1939 in Qidong County, Hunan Province, university culture, member of the Communist Party of China. Former executive deputy director of the office of the women's and children's Work Committee of the State Council, and Deputy Secretary General of the China Committee for caring for the next generation.

Resume

In 1957, he joined the work and served as the general counsellor and Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the middle school attached to Beijing Furen University (later changed to Beijing No.13 middle school).

In 1964, he served as vice minister of Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, in charge of youth amateur cultural and educational activities.

After the cultural revolution, he was transferred to the preparatory group of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League in 1978. Later, he served as the director and deputy director of the off campus education department of the Youth Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and deputy director of the young pioneers Working Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, in charge of off campus education.

At the end of 1984, he transferred the deputy secretary general and the director of the Management Committee of the China children's activity center to take charge of the opening of the center's positions and the work of various training classes and groups.

In 1978, she was officially transferred to the Minister of the children's Affairs Department of the all China Women's Federation.

In 1992, he was transferred back to the office of the women's and children's Work Committee of the State Council.

After retiring in 2000, due to work needs, he still held the posts of member of the National Working Committee of the Chinese young pioneers, vice president of the Chinese Young Pioneers working Association, director and Deputy Secretary General of the China children's foundation, Deputy Secretary General of the China care for the next generation working committee, and deputy director general of the China children's charity and relief foundation. During this period, a series of activities beneficial to children's physical and mental health were carried out, such as the National Summer Camp for AIDS orphans in 2004 and 2005.

Honorary awards

On October 13, 1999, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese youth vanguard, it was awarded the "outstanding contribution award for the work of the youth vanguard" by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the National Youth Working Committee.

In April 2000, the United Nations Children's fund awarded the medal of "contribution to the cause of global children".

On the occasion of "June 1" International Children's day in 2000, she was awarded the title of "national excellent children's worker" by the women's and children's Work Committee of the State Council.

In September 2005 and June 2010, he was successively praised as "national advanced worker of caring for the next generation" by the China Working Committee for caring for the next generation and the office of the Central Steering Committee for the construction of spiritual civilization.

In September 2005, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the central civilization office, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of education, the Ministry of culture and other 10 ministries and commissions awarded the "Ginkgo biloba Award" lifelong achievement award for Chinese youth social education.

On the morning of May 31, 2010, Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the people's Republic of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission, cordially received five young and old pioneers, including Li Qimin, who attended the Sixth National Congress of the Chinese young pioneers.

On July 1, 2011, the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the working committee of the organs directly under the CPC Central Committee awarded the title of "Excellent Communist Party member".

In 2020, on the 30th anniversary of the founding of the China caring for the next generation working committee, the central office of spiritual civilization and the China Working Committee for customs affairs will award the "National Outstanding Contribution Award for caring for the next generation".
