Ma Zhi
Ma Zhi
Tzima, born on June 10, 1962, is a Chinese American film actor.
In 2001, he took part in the TV series 24 hours. In 2007, he played Ambassador Han in the action film rush hour 3. In 2016, he took part in the science fiction film coming. In August 2018, he participated in the Disney live action movie Mulan.
Early experience
Born in Hong Kong, Ma Zhi immigrated to the United States when he was five years old. Growing up in New York, he received different cultures and education. His eclectic lifestyle made him despise tradition and learn classical drama and dance since childhood. He has appeared in many stage plays since the 1970s. He settled in Los Angeles in 1988, and then began to develop in the film and television industry.
Acting experience
American local TV series include 24, renxinrenshu, New York crime squad, legal affairs, yellowthread street, jag, as well as Hong Jinbao and Tang Jili's Cross River Dragon;
The films include "peak time", "Golden Gate", "the summit", "the quiet American", "the old lady killer", "Alpha dog" and the family film "akeelah & the bee" in early 2006. In terms of stage drama, including the new version of huaguge adapted by philosopher, the dance and the rail road and in perpetuity through the universe. He won numerous awards, including "best actor" for his stage play the dance and the rail road. In May this year, he and 19 Asian American Actors (including Golden Horse actress Lu Yan and Guan Jiaqian) won the award of "Southern California Chinese history society" for his outstanding achievements in the performing arts.
In 2001, he played agent Cheng Zhi in the TV series 24 hours. In 2007, he played Ambassador Han in the action film rush hour 3.
In 2016, he played general Shang in the science fiction film coming. In August 2018, he took part in the Disney live action movie Hua Mulan.
Personal life
Ma Zhi's wife, Christina Ma, is also a Chinese American actor in Hollywood. They have been married since December 1994.
